How your content is handled
Straight answers to the questions that matter before you hand anyone your book. The short version: it stays yours, it trains nothing, nobody else sees it, and deleting it is the default — not a request.
Is my book stored?
Yes — that's what makes your AI work. Your file and the text we extract from it live in a dedicated, isolated database created just for your trial, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt). Access credentials are stored encrypted. Your content is never mixed with anyone else's.
Who can see it?
You, and the readers you choose to share your link with — through answers that cite your pages. Nobody else. Your trial isn't listed anywhere, other authors can't see it, and we put no third-party analytics or trackers on your pages. Resmind operates the infrastructure, so founder-level access exists for support and safety — logged, and never for any other purpose.
Is it used to train AI?
No. Never. Your book is used solely to build and run yourAI. Answers are generated through Anthropic's Claude API, which does not train models on API data. Your text is sent to the API only to answer your readers' questions, with citations back to your pages.
Can I delete it?
Anytime, and by default. One action removes your book, your AI, and every conversation — permanently. And if your trial simply lapses, deletion doesn't wait for you to ask: an inactive trial is deleted for you, notice first. Deletion-by-default is our standing position, not a favor.
Who owns what?
You retain all rights to your book — full stop. By uploading, you grant Resmind only the narrow license needed to operate your AI for you, nothing more. It ends when your Book Companion does. You can leave at any time and take your content with you. The formal terms (including the no-training clause and your rights warranty) are the Book Companion Terms and the Data Processing Agreement, accepted when you upload.
What does it run on?
Vercel (hosting), Neon (database, EU-Frankfurt), Anthropic (the Claude API), and Resend (sign-in emails only — email providers never see book content or conversations). That's the whole list, kept current at resmind.app/sub-processors.
